LtL year overview, a happy 2022 and a thank you!

It’s been a strange year, just like the one before. Strange in a way that it became ‘normal’ involuntarily. But like all bad things, there were also good things. One of them for me was plenty of time to work on Life to Legend and my artistic skills. Just like that, I’m a year into the project, and what a year it was! In the first 3 months of this year and the last 2 weeks, the Netherlands was in (full) lockdown. A serious pain in more than one way for many people, me included. But the good thing about it was that I could spend time working on projects and collaborating with people I otherwise wouldn’t have been able to.

Drawing NSFW art, pro’s and con’s

Thought about and discussed a lot, discussed about in a constructive way: Maybe not so much, and even less so by an artist that actually draws NSFW. It’s a sensitive subject, not only because of the subject, but for many other reasons as well. Many artists draw NSFW, most likely more than you think. But what can you expect? What do you have to keep in mind when you’re considering to get into NSFW art? And is this really what you want?

Picking the right audience for your art

Picking the right audience for your art can be a tricky thing to do. There are so many channels to display your art! It’s very easy to spread yourself thin.
But even if you manage to narrow down a specific audience, it may not work out because you’re in the wrong place, or maybe just for some unknown reason. Finding the right audience for your artistic endeavors takes time but we’re here to help you out!

Weird animal features – Part 2

Weird animal features, things you may have heard of, or never knew before. In creature and character design it can add true interest to your design when it’s well thought through. Habitat, behavior, and diet play a great role in this. But there is so much more to animals that can add a whole new layer to them! And also to your story that’s built around them. So you better be aware of every weird animal feature out there!

Autumn color study – Colors affected by light

Autumn, you either hate it or love it. It means the end of the summer, but it’s also the beginning of an amazingly beautiful color palette. The colors of the deciduous trees start shifting color from green to yellows, oranges, bright red, and earthy tones. Some plants start blooming, others grow their fruits and seedpods. Not to mention the broad variety of mushrooms that start to pop out of every nook and cranny. All and all, autumn is the season of abundance. Animals can now stock up for the harsh winter to come. And artists get out of their hidey holes for a seasonal color study
