LtL update, the future of Life to Legend

Why today you may think? Well, today exactly a year ago I decided to change the old Facebook group called Wildlife and Creatures into Life to Legend. Shortly thereafter, on the 14th of December, I bought the domain name and started what now is a solid educative and informative website for artists. Starting a blog is a huge gamble. You need to write a lot of articles before it’s even noticed, to begin with. I knew this beforehand, and I knew it would take at least a year before I would see results, This is because I’m simply not able to write more than one article a week. But after nearly 1000 workhours on this project, I can finally say that it was worth it!

Effective planning as an artist (freelancer) working from home

Anyone that ever had a job knows that effective planning is key, especially when you are responsible for your own work. That’s the case, even more, when you’re an artistic freelancer, or a freelancer to begin with. Freelancing, or working from home for a business, an approach that has been growing exponentially lately, requires a lot of planning. Unlike jobs where you have to travel to every day, working from home comes with its own perks and obstacles. There are many ways to overcome the latter, in this article we will discuss a few.

Tips on finding, and catering to multiple target audiences

Catering to an audience is a challenge on its own. Being a pro artist is, like any other profession, a form of business. Some people may not want to make money from their art and see it as a hobby instead, but this article it’s all about the artist that wants to be a part- or full-time artist. And an artist that wants to cater to multiple target audiences. Something I very much recommend as one type of specialization may dry up at any time. Others though may flourish. Having more than one outlet for your art is very beneficial.

Target audiences, how I aim to generate income

Having more than one audience is totally fine. Honestly: Catering to more than one audience means that you’re having a good business practice!
Especially when it comes to the artistic world, its very beneficial if you have more than one project going on. It will help you continue your work even if there’s a crisis or recession going on. If one kind of project doesn’t work: The other might do very good, or at least sustain you.

Musings of a blogging artist – Who am I, and what do I do to ensure a living

Hi, my dear reader! This post is a little bit different from what you’re used to. I always do my best to be as informative as possible, and I do this in different formats I hope you all like. Sometimes it’s a summed-up list, a top 7 or 10 of interesting facts, and youtube channels for example. Other times it’s an in-depth article about a specific subject. I always try to add a personal flair to the articles, but I was thinking that maybe it’s interesting for you to read about my personal musings and progress as well. As an artist, a blogger, and in person. So that’s what this is! I mean to expand on it in the future whenever it feels right. I’d love it if you let me know if you enjoy reading this or not!
