Life to Legend is an initiative of Tessa Geniets. With the help of a Facebook community, LtL became a platform for artists that are interested in creature and character design. You will be able to find a lot of information about art, nature, character, and creature design. Every week new articles are added. You can either subscribe to the newsletter or join the Facebook group to stay tuned!
Why today you may think? Well, today exactly a year ago I decided to change the old Facebook group called Wildlife and Creatures into Life to Legend. Shortly thereafter, on the 14th of December, I bought the domain name and started what now is a solid educative and informative website for artists. Starting a blog is a huge gamble. You need to write a lot of articles before it’s even noticed, to begin with. I knew this beforehand, and I knew it would take at least a year before I would see results, This is because I’m simply not able to write more than one article a week. But after nearly 1000 workhours on this project, I can finally say that it was worth it!
Hi, my dear reader! This post is a little bit different from what you’re used to. I always do my best to be as informative as possible, and I do this in different formats I hope you all like. Sometimes it’s a summed-up list, a top 7 or 10 of interesting facts, and youtube channels for example. Other times it’s an in-depth article about a specific subject. I always try to add a personal flair to the articles, but I was thinking that maybe it’s interesting for you to read about my personal musings and progress as well. As an artist, a blogger, and in person. So that’s what this is! I mean to expand on it in the future whenever it feels right. I’d love it if you let me know if you enjoy reading this or not!
We like to keep things as simple as possible, so instead of elaborating on Facebook with its limited tools to set and review the rules, we decided to go with a Life to Legend Facebook guide and rules page. If you’re someone that just likes to read along, this page might not be for you. But if you’re an active contributor, take the time to read this. It will make everybody’s life a little bit easier!
Very close to the upcoming changes, time to give you some more details about what you can expect! When will the sister FB group be made? How about the Discord channel? And the prompts, how will we move forward with those? And what other things did we discuss in the time between the first announcement and this one. You can find it all here!
You see them everywhere! They were a thing long before Inktober and still are a thing today. In fact: There are so many channels providing art prompts that artists can make their day jobs out of it! If only it would pay, right… The reason it’s such a ‘thing’ is that it works. It works very well even. And its does for many reasons. So what are prompts, why are they so effective, and where can you find them?
