Life to Legend is an initiative of Tessa Geniets. With the help of a Facebook community, LtL became a platform for artists that are interested in creature and character design. You will be able to find a lot of information about art, nature, character, and creature design. Every week new articles are added. You see them everywhere! They were a thing long before Inktober and still are a thing today. In fact: There are so many channels providing art prompts that artists can make their day jobs out of it! If only it would pay, right… The reason it’s such a ‘thing’ is that it works. It works very well even. And its does for many reasons. So what are prompts, why are they so effective, and where can you find them?
Life to Legend is roughly 1,5 years old now. Started in February 2020, shortly before the Corona pandemic became a thing, was a lucky break for something that was initially just an impulsive thing. I was hoping the initiative, at the time called Wildlife and Creature design (WaCD) would take hold but didn’t count on it. With a bit of help from other groups and some very specific people, it did grow and kept doing so up to 1500 people. Now it’s time for some much-needed changes.
cultural way with as goal to not only educate, but also give clear directions to anyone that has some sort of storytelling component within their work or hobby. This could be creature or character designs, (fictional) worldbuilders, storywriters and more.
