Evolutionarily seen, animals are subject to their environment. There are only a few species that can build their environment around them, like humans, and arguably apes. But even so, we had to climb the evolutionary ladder to get where we are at now. And all that time we were subject to our environment. We even are now to this day in our own artificial environments. It’s no different for surreal creatures. so let us dive into the importance of environments in your creature design!
Bio-luminescence is a magically beautiful phenomenon that’s for many people a rarity to see. Bio-luminescence is an emission of light from an organism, that emits this light for its survival and/or reproduction. It’s a biochemical mechanism that involves a chemical process, resulting in a cold light. Instead of it creating heat, the reaction will create light instead.
Although bio-luminescence is rarely seen, it’s fairly common. Both on land and in the ocean. However, these events take place around specific times of the year, making it hard to actually seek them out. Also, a lot of bio-luminescent organisms have a relatively faint light. This means they can only be seen at night when no flashlights are used, or light pollution is nearby. Nonetheless, it’s an absolutely wonderful phenomenon and worth it to seek out when you have the chance!
There are many amazing artists out there, and some of them use YouTube as a platform to teach. So, if you are looking to learn something new, or want to understand different approaches to the same subject a bit better? These artists are a great place to start. They will help you getting a better understanding of the work field, different techniques and approaches, and different materials and tools.
If you think legends and myths are stories from the past, you are mistaken. The Chupacabra is excellent proof of a modern-day legend. It’s a legend from Latin America and the southern US states that came to life after animals like sheep, goats, and even dogs were found bloodless and with very few wounds. The explanation of these events became the Chupacabra.
Unless you live in Australia, you may not have heard of the Yowie, but you surely know the Sasquatch, Yeti, or bigfoot! Maybe you even heard of the Barmanou, Chuchuna, or Almas. They are all the same kind of creatures people see throughout the world with roughly the same features. But no real evidence has been found to prove their existence. Because of this reason, they are still considered to be mythical creatures. Remarkable about this ‘family’ is that you can find them throughout the whole world!
