Art career: The journey as an artist starts

First of all: Unlike most of the other articles, this one is about my own journey. How did I get where I am, and where am I at in 2021 after 4 years of training myself and 3 years of actually working in the field. Although this article is about me: I’m just using myself as an example, what I struggled with, what really helped me out, and some other useful lessons along the way. This article is especially interesting for people who think they won’t be able to do what I do, or what other artists do because of age, skill, resources, and so on. But also for people who want to be well-prepared and know what to expect when they aim for an art career.
So let me take you on a stroll and don’t hesitate to scroll past the first chapter if my pre-art-age doesn’t interest you that much!

Fantastic specialization of living organisms

The planet we live on screams specialization. Every single organism you see is specialized, one more than the other, but they all found their niche and adjusted to it. In some cases, this means they have very remarkable features you rarely see in other species. In other cases, it meant the difference between life above the water surface and a completely barren planet. Let me take you on a stroll and show you some wonderful specializations on this planet.

The effect of the environment on living organisms

Natural environments are subject to weather, location, height, if water is nearby and what kind of water this is the neighboring environment, and so much more. These factors affect what plant species can grow in an area. And these, in their turn, affect what animals can live in that specific area. Taking all the other factors into account. Evolution is a way to make sure that species can keep surviving. It’s a process of elimination. If you can’t keep up with changes, or your new evolutionary trait is useless, it, or you, will likely die out.
