New Life to Legend course is available now!
As announced some time ago, Life to Legend is slowly but steadily releasing beginner and intermediate courses with the help of Skillshare! As of yet, there are two courses available, Mastering contrasts while drawing a black and white animal portrait, and the new Life to Legend course: Drawing from a reference: Drawing a Mandril. Both of which can be followed by beginners although I recommend that if you are you start with some easier classes, which brings me to the next subject!
More classes coming soon!
I’m very much aware that many people that come here and/or are part of the community can be considered beginners. This is why from hereon I will be prioritizing easier bite-size courses. That way you don’t have to go out and look for another artist who teaches you what you need to know. I will create those courses in such a way that creature and character design are recurrent themes.
How to get free access
This works only with an e-mail address you didn’t sign up with before on Skillshare, otherwise, you’ll have to renew your subscription if it ran out. If you didn’t subscribe to Skillshare before, you can do so through this link and get a free month upon subscription in which you get all the time you need to follow my courses and many others! You can end your subscription before the end of the month without a hitch if you want to.
What you will learn in the latest course: Drawing a Mandril from reference
This course will set you up for success and can be followed by nearly anyone that has a basic understanding of Photoshop or similar programs. So you can just grab your tablet and get going. Included are resources that will get you going. Don’t feel bad if it doesn’t end up quite the way you hoped it to. As I said before: This one requires a bit of a learning curve, especially for beginners. You’re here to learn, and with every step you take, you get closer to your final goal.
Don’t forget to share the outcome on Skillshare to get my feedback!
Things you’ll be learning

Freebies
There are some freebies available, one of which is the Life to Legend brush pack. It will get you going and you’re free to use it on any of your projects. There is also the photograph of the Mandril. Although I do have the license to use it, it’s not mine. So you can use it as your reference, but don’t use it in any other way.
Life to Legend courses on the Life to Legend website
I mentioned it before, and yes: It will be coming. I don’t know when yet, but what I can tell you is that these will be premium courses. The kind of stuff you can’t just find anywhere online. But first, we will focus on courses that are released throughout Skillshare so everyone can learn the ‘common knowledge’ for a fairly small price, if anything at all, after which you could optionally continue with the premium courses on Life to Legend.
